Mrs. Loman (2020)

MRS LOMAN takes inspiration from Arthur Miller’s DEATH OF A SALESMAN, and imagines Linda Loman’s existence after Willy commits suicide. This Juvenalian satire subverts Miller’s world and its depiction and treatment of women in 1949 Brooklyn. Acknowledging the misogyny, it begs the question, what possibilities could exist for a new Linda Loman? Reading online at The Tank (2020) and workshopped at New Georges (2019) (90 min).

 

The Visitors (2015)

The Visitors is a short piece with music that examines three teenage American girls as a group of refugees arrive on the shores of the Hudson. Part of Engarde Arts BOSSS Hudson River Project.

 
 

ANTHROPOLOGY OF A BOOK CLUB (2013)

Anthropology of a Book Club, a play about a Brooklyn book club that takes some inspiration from a real life book club, examines the polarized neighborhood of Bay Ridge through the eyes of its Muslim and non-Muslim book club members. Manhattan Repertory Theater.

Loosely based on the impression James Toback left on this artist, The Director is not exactly an indictment, but rather an attempt at knowing and understanding self (The Flea Theater 2007).
